The Mosaic Company Story: Website, Video and Print Brochures
Digging in to share Mosaic’s story
The Challenge The Mosaic Company wanted to share the story of who it is and what it does to responsibly, sustainably help the world grow the food it needs. And it needed to be done in a simple, memorable way. Previously, the company had success through print brochures. This time, they wanted an engaging digital experience that could also adapt to print. Effectiveness would be measured by viewer engagement: Mosaic wanted viewers to go deeper with educational content on Mosaic’s website and feel inspired to share the experience via social media.
The Solution Using a combination of rich photography and a concise yet informative storyline, Franke+Fiorella created an emotionally engaging, single-scroll microsite. To deliver the best user experience, viewers control site progression at their own pace by scrolling or clicking arrows to get to the next chapter. The site’s narrative includes compelling facts about the necessity of Mosaic’s work, encourages readers to connect and share through social media, and invites them to learn more about Mosaic’s mission at the company website. Site content was repurposed as a video used for in-person presentations, recruitment, social sharing and via the mobile experience. A complementary print brochure developed in four languages helped Mosaic tell its story around the world.
The Result The site reached thousands of unique viewers in key audiences across Mosaic’s critical geographies. More than half of all visitors reviewed the entire site, and nearly half engaged by scrolling or clicking to learn more. Thousands of impressions were made across social media channels. Within a year, the video version became one of the top-ten most-viewed videos on Mosaic’s YouTube channel. Dig in for yourself at TheMosaicStory.com.
